2022 Vacation Assist is Thunder’s largest slate of giving events in Oklahoma city history

OKLAHOMA CITY,   Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 – The Oklahoma City Thunder  has its biggest plans yet to spread holiday cheer throughout the community with its 15 th   annual Holiday Assist tradition. More than two dozen events are scheduled through the end of the year to brighten the spirits of hundreds of Oklahomans during the holidays.  

This season, Vacation Assist tips off Nov. 17 with the entire Oklahoma Town Blue team roster planned to visit Positive Tomorrows, the particular only school in Oklahoma City specifically serving children experiencing homelessness, to spend time with the students and families during their Thanksgiving Day celebration.  

Sunday, November. 20, in partnership with Homeland, the full Oklahoma City Thunder group will participate in a drive-thru turkey and grocery giveaway benefitting families from the Boys plus Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County.    

Additionally , the Thunder and Homeland will treat two families to the personal grocery store shopping spree just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, respectively on Nov. 22 and Dec. 22.  

Saturday, Dec. 3, the Oklahoma city, in partnership with Whataburger, will host a fundraiser to benefit the Regional Food Bank associated with Oklahoma. The particular Regional Meals Bank remains on the front lines, along with local community partners to provide nutritious food plus resources for Oklahomans facing hunger.    

Thursday, Dec. fifteen the entire Thunder team will provide 15 student athletes with a holiday shopping spree at a local sporting goods store. Students will receive a VIP experience where they will certainly be paired with the player in order to help them shop with regard to their favorite athletic wear and sporting gear.  

Tuesday, Dec. 20, the Oklahoma city will provide toys and fulfill needed wishes for the Skyline Holiday Pop-Up Shop. Skyline provides free and low-cost assistance to children, families plus senior citizens.    

Also, throughout December, the Thunder and Sprite will sponsor 12 days of giving and may drop in and surprise 12 local nonprofits along with $1, 000 worth of donations, good holiday tidings and Oklahoma city cheer.
